Before Zelo we produced training for oil companies, banks, industry, and healthcare. Scripts, modules, delivery - and meetings with HSE leads trying to keep track of who had taken which course in which version, usually in a spreadsheet.
The same problems kept showing up: content that was outdated before it was published, contractors who never got the training they should have, compliance that slipped because someone forgot a reminder. We solved it manually for client after client - until it was more obvious to build a platform that does the work itself.
