Integrations and sending channels
Integrations let you connect Zelo to the work tools in your organization.
People are different! Some enjoy using emails for work-related content, others might prefer a text message (SMS), while more technical users might enjoy integrating their work-related content into channels such as Slack of Workplace. Channels is in this context meant as preferred medium of communication, and ensures that important work-related content is never lost - it ends up in the channel users are most likely to use and enjoys the most.
Setting up new channels
To enable sending to recipients in different channels, Zelo first needs to be set up with the different tools that are relevant. There are two ways of reaching the necessary settings;
- Click profile name in top right corner and selecting the Integrations button, or
- Click profile name in right corner, select Profile and then select Integration in left menu
Zelo currently supports these channels:
- Email (default)
- Slack
- Workplace (setup guide)
- Text Message (has to be manually activated by the Zelo team)

Changing channels
Within the same settings menu as above (with the two optional approaches), there is also a My organization submenu. Within this menu the different users can chose their preferred channel of communication. The list is always updated accordingly to the channels configured to the organization. If users do not set a preferred channel, the organization settings will be used instead.
The manager of the organizations uses the same menu to set the preferred channel, as well that each message sent gives the option to either adhere to this or send to specific messages on-demand. Useful for when there is a need to push out critical messages through SMS, as opposed to emails or other channels.
