Add Recipients to Zelo

Different places, different faces - your organization is ever-changing. If you don’t integrate with your HRIS managing user lists in any system can be a daunting task, often with redundant and time-consuming work.

In Zelo we acknowledge that keeping recipients and distribution lists up to date can be a big task and offer some tools to help. There are two options for adding new users. Either you can add single users directly in Zelo, or you can import a list of users.

Add a Single User

Importing single users is done through Add Single menu option:

Required fields:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email

Optional fields:

  • Phone
  • Title (must be switched on manually via support).

Attributes:

Attributes varies in different accounts. The import function will match the table headers after the "title" column to attributes in your account. This means that if your account is set up with "Role" and "Location" attributes, you can include these as separate columns after the "title" column.

The next columns in this example would then be:

  • Role
  • Location

Last Step

Click "Add Recipient" to add the user. If there are any issues with the provided fields, Zelo provides a feedback on the screen explaining what went wrong.

Import a List of Users

Importing multiple users is done through Import menu option:

Files must be in either excel (.xlsx) or .csv (comma-separated values) format. Some columns are required, others are optional depending of the information you want to import:

Required column headers

  • firstname
  • lastname
  • email
  • phone
  • title

Optional column headers

  • attribute(s)

NB: The attribute column headers must match with you account's attributes. Ex. if you account is set up with a "role" and a "location" attribute, these values should be used for the headers for columns F and G.

Required row data

All row must have values in the following columns:

  • firstname
  • lastname
  • email

Example of structure:

Be aware of duplicates. If there are duplicates in the list, or some of the users in the list already exist in Zelo, the import will not be successful. Duplicates are checked by email addresses.
